OoooOOOooo!!! Definitely devilish!
Hmm, I wonder if this is a new ability Hunter is demonstrating or an adaptation of his flame abilities? Either way, looks freaking awesome, man!
“…And fire flew from his fingertips as he rosined up his bow…”
I was just thinking of that very line when I came to the comments…
And here we go—off to perdition with a bow on top! I just love the coiling fire line, padre is in for some really eye-opening experiences!
I bet his Grand Pappy’s last name before immigrating was originally “Jeger”, because Henry plays like a Native Northlander! Perhaps he is a decendant of the Rohan! (I have seen clues that this world could be something like the 7th Age of Middle earth, or some such.)
Isn’t Hunter an assumed name? When he was married to Vanity Stone, wasn’t his name Stone?
Where are you getting Stone?
You’re right. I should have said “Black”. I’m not sure where I got Stone from.
HAnds of an angel? Would that be a dark angel? Careful young padra, it’s getting very hot there.
Off-topic, but a few people have been calling the man a “padre”, and that has been bothering me for some reason. He has been referred to as “brother”, and is very clearly under the authority of mother Harker, so “hermano” would make more sense.
Not entirely sure why people are using the Spanish term either, since, even if Spanish was a thing in the World of NTO (not certain yet, despite the name of the town), the man seems to come from elsewhere than Via Dolorosa.
Thank you. Thank you so much for saying that.
Also, it would be padre, but Hermano is so much cooler AND it is correct.
Thanks for voicing this, RSG, and you’re right: Brother Matteo’s not a father of any order and is in fact subordinate to Mother Harker. It’s interesting to me, watching assumptions about authority.
I just noticed that the fiddle was already there in page 14. Beautiful.
