Next Town Over is on a semi-hiatus due to my first kid and my eroded buffer. I didn’t want to leave the place sit idle during this indeterminate span, though, so I asked you what you wanted to see in the interim, and you overwhelmingly voted for a visually simpler short story I could keep up with updating while I square away motherhood and the first NTO collection. This is it.
Black and Hunter will eventually return in Next Town Over Book 5: Wayward.

Some characters are just too powerful to be contained within one story/world. Their epic powers propel them across the multiverse.

Seems that John henry was well known when he first met Miss Black. Their relationship deepened. She envied his talents/ fame. Mr. Hunter offered to share the secrets of his success.
